Verde Mura 2008
March 28th/30th: "Verde Mura" is the spring edition of "Murabilia" a market in the urban walls of Lucca, dedicated to the products of handicrafts, outdoor and garden furniture and clothing, all kinds of plants, including vegetable garden ones.

End of October/Beginning of November, international market of comics and board game with shows and exhibitions around the city of Lucca. The Comics and Games are a big attraction for Lucca.
Lucca Comics & Games 2008 is a great cultural event which attracts each year thousands of visitors from all over the world. From a couple of years, the event is more interesting and suggestive as it takes place within the city walls of Lucca. In 2007 about four hundred exhibitors from all over the world took part in Lucca Comics and Games, on over 16,000 square metres with over 100,000 visitors. During these days (from the middle of October to the 4th of November) Lucca also organizes forums, cinema and comics exhibitions.

Lucca Cosplay 2008
Lucca Cosplay 2008 is the exhibition of Comics and Games of Lucca that offer the chance to the participants to simulate in the appearance, with the costumes, in the make-up, often in avery detailed way their favorite comics characters. Every participant or group on a stage from 1 to 8 minutes (according to the n° of people). The winners will be rewarded the last day of comics and games. Giacomo Puccini Anniversary
Lucca and its Province celebrate the 150 anniversary of the birth of the great composer "Giacomo Puccini" with concerts and several representations (info: www.teatrodelgiglio.it). Giacomo Puccini 1858 - 2008 is the title of great shows that Lucca dedicates to the composer in the 150 anniversary of his birth.
