Visits:
To visit the neighbourhood of Santo Spirito, a hidden gem on the left bank of the Arno River, to find a Florence you would not expect.

Our tour starts on the Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge), the oldest one among the Florentine bridges, and continues to the Saint Felicita Church, where we enter to admire its secrets. Walking along via Guicciardini we get to Pitti Palace, the final Medici Royal Palace, and we continue to the charming S. Spirito square, the most popular night-life spot among young Florentines. Inside the S. Spirito church –the last and most beautiful of all Brunelleschi’s churches- we can admire the pure Renaissance style and the surprising Michelangelo’s wooden Crucifix. Another walk through this still untouched quarter and we get to the church of Saint Maria del Carmine, where we conclude our tour with a visit to the Brancacci Chapel and the magnificent Masaccio’s frescoes, which have been, according to Giorgio Vasari, “the school of the world”

(*) We remind you that entrance into churches requires appropriate attire (no shorts, miniskirts or uncovered shoulders). It is also advisable to wear comfortable shoes.
