VISITING ELBA ISLAND

There are many
different museums and other attractions throughout the
island, and you can literally spend your entire stay on
the island just going from museum to museum. One of the
most popular museums to visit is the Napoleon Museum in Portoferraio.
This museum has
information that heavily details Napoleon's stay on the
island, as well as different parts of his life. Another
interesting place to visit is the Museo Archeologico Della Linguella .
This is an
archaelogical museum that has documented many different
artifacts found throughout the island. Many of the
artifacts are from the Roman Empire, but there are also
other artifacts from different time periods.
You can
literally trace the history of the island  through the
rare pieces that have been found by the archaeologists.
If you want to see art, you can go to Pinacoteca
Foresiana.
This is an art gallery
that has many paintings, most of which are unique to the
island. You should also check out the Orto Botanico Dell'Ottone. 
This
is a botanical garden with plants and flowers from all
over the world. You can walk around the grounds for as
long as you like, and it's a nice way to spend the
afternoon.
